Global Hospitals Mumbai installs image guided system for cardiovascular & interventional imaging

Global Hospitals Mumbai introduced the countries first image guided system for cardiovascular and interventional imaging called Innova IGS 530 Cath Lab in association with GE Healthcare. This is the latest and the most advanced cardiovascular and vascular X-ray system which provides excellent imaging performance for a full range of interventional x-ray and provides best diagnostic for angiograms, device placement and non-vascular procedures.

The Innova IGS 530 will help in viewing anatomy more clearly, making it suitable for cardiac, electrophysiology, neurology, angiography, peripheral angiography and intervention. In other words provide a patient-focused user friendly interface.

Speaking about this technology, Dr Ravindra Karanjekar, CEO, Global Hospitals Mumbai said that Global Hospitals group has always been instrumental in introducing the latest technology in the country and that they wanted to bring the top end equipment to its Mumbai hospital. “The Innova IGS 530 is equipped with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) which will help our experts in better identification of coronary blockages and to avoid unwanted angioplasty,” he added.
