GoFrugal Technologies to launch supply chain management software for pharma cos
The Chennai-based GoFrugal Technologies, vendors of pharmacy and retail management software, is planning to enter the pharmaceutical distribution chain in a big way with their products offering supply chain management software to pharmaceutical and marketing companies.
The company, which have its products established in the retail and distribution level of operations in the pharmaceutical supply chain, will introduce its new sales and distribution management software - RayMedi S&D - version to the pharmaceutical manufacturers by end of December.
The product will serve the pharmaceutical companies to monitor the details of their products in the distribution chain and can collect information on the fast moving products and the performance of sales representatives, informed M Sivakumar, director, GoFrugal Technologies.
"The S&D is a combination of our products the RayMedi HQ, RayMedi DE and the data connectivity instruments. We have already installed the product in some of the local companies and are planning to go for the wider Indian market within a month," he said. The company has completed analysis of the market and is currently ready for marketing the product, which can also be used in C&F level of distribution. At present, leading business software solution companies like SAP and Botree are offering similar services to the Indian pharmaceutical companies.
The company has also released free starter editions of its retail and distribution software products targeting better access among the retail stores and distribution agents in the country. Of late, GoFrugal has announced release of its distribution management software - RayMedi DE 5.5 for pharmaceutical traders. The product will be made available in four editions namely starter, standard, professional and custom editions.
The license for starter edition, ideal for small distributors, wholesalers and sub-stockists, is completely free to the users, added Sivakumar. The product includes sales, purchase, inventory, accounts, general reports and Value Added Tax (VAT) reports.
GoFrugal Technologies, commenced its operations in 2004 to integrate computing, telecommunication and internet technologies for complete automation of retail and distribution business, has recently signed pact with IBM Corporation for certification of RayMedi head quarters, a Web-based software product targeted towards the retail chain shops and another tie up with Sun Microsystems for developing low cost software solutions for small retailers.
