Drugs Controller General of India Dr G N Singh expects a promising future for pharmacy and other health sciences in the coming days.

By 2020, pharmacy profession in the country would have achieved tremendous growth. This would provide a lot of opportunities to budding pharmacists, said Dr Singh during his interaction at the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences here recently.

Dr Singh, who is also the director of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, was interacting with the faculty and students of MCOPS.

He lauded the efforts of MCOPS and was  impressed by the spectacular growth of the institutions under Manipal University for which he complimented the top management of the university.
