Goose  Technologies, which has  indigenously developed the  Track and Trace solution ‘Tracker’ aimed at helping pharma companies detect counterfeit drugs and protect their brand reputation has now bagged  three new customers installations in the pharma space,  covering Strides Arcolab, Indoco Remedies and Macleods Pharmaceuticals.

The three pharma majors will deploy Goose Tracker to generate 150 plus million unique numbers annually  for Tertiary, Secondary and Primary packages. Goose expects the deadlines for implementing secondary and primary packaging would accelerate additional customer acquisitions. In the process it hopes to add few more customers in the coming months.                                                                                                                          

Goose Tracker is a software solution that creates, manages and tracks unique serial numbers that are printed on the tertiary, primary and secondary packages. This solution help stem the growing threat of counterfeit prescription medications thereby enhancing customer safety and confidence throughout product supply chain.

Making the announcement, Goose Founder and CEO, Deb Pattnaik said, “We hope to continue this customer acquisition momentum in the Industry, as a number of customers have shown keen interest to adopt Goose Tracker given its ease of adoption, scalability and performance capability. Tracker features robust encrypted serialization and package authentication capability, designed to ensure consumer safety, reduce counterfeiting and diversion of product.”

 “We could complete first phase of implementation successfully within a week across five plants located in three different locations at  Goa (Plant I, II & III), Baddi & Waluj. Goose Tracker is effective and interoperable across the supply chain. However, the company has a strong presence in the pharmaceutical industry as it concentrates on developing business process re-engineering solutions that are critical and add significant value to business. More over in the wake of the mandatory implementation of bar code technology by the Union government, Indian pharma companies are eager to adopt technologies that have ease of use without out disrupting their existing manufacturing process to point of sale mechanisms.

 An important feature of Goose Tracker is that it provides enhanced security by not storing the actual unique numbers. Its implementation approach is to best utilize existing production capabilities thereby eliminating need for purchase of new hardware, wherever possible. Tracker also helps assign and imprint the serialized barcode including an encrypted identification number right at the production line on various types of packages.

Goose will be showcasing Goose Tracker capability at the CPhI India, Mumbai  from November 30 to December  2, 2011.
