Haryana DC dept institutes excellence awards to drug control officials from this year

The Directorate of Drugs Control Administration of Haryana Government has instituted various awards of excellence for Drug Control Officers of the departments from this year onwards as a token of recognition of their performance in work.

In the beginning, this year 12 officers of the department have received the awards which carry mementos.

Ram Mohan Sharma, director of State Drugs Control Department has given away the awards to the 12 officers of in a function held on April 30 at the drug control office premises at Panchkula in Haryana.

The function was conducted along with a farewell ceremony given to two Assistant Drug Controllers, R K Chug and Ashok Bambha, who retired on that day. This is the first time the government is honouring the officers of the administration for their performance and excellence.

The Drug Control Officer of Administration (DCO), Lalit Goel, who is the secretary of the All India Drug Control Officers Association (AIDCOC), north zone, said over telephone to Pharmabiz that he got the Best Intelligence Award for his extensive work in the state for the last few decades.

C P Mehta, who retired as an ADC 10 years ago, was honoured this time with Lifetime Achievement Award. Ajmal Gurg, the first drug controller of the State was also felicitated on the occasion. Parjinder Singh, assistant drug control in the office has received an award with a title ‘Jack of all Trade’. According to Goel, Parjinder Singh has proved his mettle with his hard work on several times.

When Rahesh Dahiye was awarded for Best Prosecution Work, Raman Sheoran was adjudged as the best person to receive award for Best Inspection Work.G L Singhal was given the title ‘Hard Task Master’ and R K Harna was recognized for his Best Academic Work.

When Narender Ahuja became the ‘All-rounder’, MM Taneja has won the ‘Most Reliable Award’.The Most Obedient Award went to Sunil Chaoudhari, a drug inspector and ‘Budding Star’ was given to another drug inspector Gurucharan Singh. Lalit Goel said Hariyana has become the model state to recognize the regulatory staffs for their performance and excellence.
