Herbalife India plans to expand their operations in India by expanding its business into various Tier II cities across the country. It would be starting new centres in Rajasthan, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala at a record pace by entering these markets with their distributors.
Along with their expansion plan they are also going to renovate and improve their existing set ups in Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. It already has set up a second office in Bangalore, which houses the IT operations of the company. The company has till now launched and improvised 10 new outer and inner nutrition products.
All inner nutrition Herbalife products are localised and created in accordance with Herbalife’s science based philosophy. Their current range of inner nutrition products are selected for the Indian palate like Mango flavour shake etc. the company will also be investing in better tools and methods to improve the infrastructure of their products.
The company's Q1 results reported a net sales increase of 18.6 per cent to 618.6 million dollars indicating the speedy growth of the company. The record revenue reflects year-on-year growth of 6.2 per cent. For the quarter, growth from emerging markets represented 50 per cent of total company growth with an increase of 13.9 per cent compared to the prior year. Within this India has played a significant role in driving this growth where India recorded a year-on-year growth of 51.9 per cent. Last year, the Indian operations had a triple digit growth.
