Hologic enters pact with Novation for mammography& bone densitometry systems
Hologic, Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and state-of-the-art digital imaging systems directed towards women's health, has been awarded two three-year dual-source contracts with Novation, LLC, one of the nation's foremost healthcare group purchasing organizations.
The first agreement covers the purchase and sale of Hologic's analog and digital mammography systems and the second covers Hologic's bone densitometry systems. The effective date for both of these agreements is September 1, 2005.

Cumming, Hologic's chairman and chief executive officer said adding, "These agreements further confirm the leadership position that Hologic's products have achieved in the diagnostic imaging arena. We look forward to working with Novation to bring the benefits of our mammography and bone densitometry imaging systems to the patients served throughout its network of facilities."
Hologic's core business units are focused on osteoporosis assessment, mammography and breast biopsy, direct-to-digital X-ray for general radiography applications and mini C-arm imaging for orthopaedic applications.
