IIP to organise ‘Inno Vision’ Packaging conference on March 23-24 in Hyderabad
The Indian Institute of Packaging is all set to organise ‘Inno Vision’ Packaging conference from March 23-24 in Hyderabad.
According to Madhab Chakraborty, joint director of IIP, the two day ‘Inno Vision Packaging’ conference is expected to witness more than 300 delegates and foreign dignitaries from countries like USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland etc. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, IT, government of Telangana is expected to inaugurate the big event.
While sharing his views on the importance of this conference, AVPS Chakravarthy, Member of IIP National Board and former Chairman of Hyderabad Chapter said, “The conference apart from discussing general issues pertaining to packaging industry, it is also going to focus on patient centric packaging in the pharmaceutical industry.”
With new trends and technologically advanced methods emerging in packaging, the packaging sector across the globe has become the most important face or real promoter of products manufactured by pharma, food processing and other companies. During the conference, topics concerning with innovation in glass container, safe drinking water through use of PET bottle and packaging waste management are expected to come for discussion during the two day conference.
While referring to growth prospects of packaging sector in Telangana state, AVPS Chakravarthy observed that the state government’s newly proposed pharmacity is going to boost the growth of packaging sector in the state. “The packaging industry is witnessing drastic changes and is adopting innovative technologies to enter into edible packaging which is emerging trend nowadays,” says Chakravarthy.
On the employment front, experts are viewing the packaging sector as the leading provider of employment in India. During the past one decade the packaging industry has provided more than 10 lakh jobs in both the organised and unorganised sectors in the country.
As part of the two day conference, the organizers are also planning to conduct a group discussion on role of packaging in ‘Make in India’.
