Ind-Swift Laboratories net loss at Rs. 39 crore
Ind-Swift Laboratories has suffered major setback during the second quarter ended September 2012 mainly due to lower sales and foreign exchange loss. It incurred a net loss of Rs. 39.38 crore as against a profit of Rs. 22.31 crore. Its EBDITA also moved down by over 50 per cent to Rs. 30.13 crore from Rs. 60.54 crore. The company provided Rs. 30.34 crore from forex loss as compared to Rs. 1.76 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its net sales also declined by 5.5 per cent to Rs. 327.97 crore from Rs. 346.97 crore. The earnings per share worked out to negative Rs. 10.06 as compared to Rs. 6.43 in the last period.
For the first half ended September 2012, its net sales up by 3.3 per cent to Rs. 630.67 crore from Rs. 610.28 crore in the similar period of last year. However, EBDITA declined sharply by 81 per cent to Rs. 20.55 crore from Rs. 111 crore. Its net loss for the first half reached at Rs. 82.70 crore as against a net profit of Rs. 39.64 crore.
