Indoco Remedies consolidated net profit at Rs. 20.5 cr in Q4
Indoco Remedies has posted net profit of Rs.20.5 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 2018 as against Rs.17.9 crore in the corresponding period of last year. EBIDTA went up to Rs.49 crore from Rs.33 crore. Its consolidated net sales declined by 2.6 per cent to Rs.259 crore from Rs.266 crore. EPS improved to Rs.2.32 from Rs.1.95 in the last period.
Aditi Panandikar, managing director, said, “Operating margins for the quarter grew at 18 per cent and EBIDTA was at 19.1 per cent. While the Indian business registered a double digit growth, the regulated markets did not perform as expected due to regulatory issues. However, emerging market showed good growth of 24 per cent.”
For the full year ended March 2018, Indoco’s net sales declined by 4.7 per cent to Rs.1,017 crore from Rs.1,067 crore in the previous year. EBIDTA also declined to Rs.135 crore from Rs.157 crore and net profit declined sharply to Rs.41 crore from Rs.77 crore, de-growth of 46.8 per cent. With lower net profit, EPS declined to Rs.4.47 from Rs.8.40 in the last year.
