INO Therapeutics has entered into an agreement with Forest Laboratories, Inc. to co-promote Infasurf using its sales force, which calls on neonatal intensive care units. Infasurf is indicated for the prevention of Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) in premature infants at high risk for RDS and the treatment (rescue) of premature infants who develop RDS. Infasurf decreases the incidence of RDS, mortality due to RDS, and air leaks associated with RDS.

INO Therapeutics LLC is a global pharmaceutical company committed to critical care with a focus in the areas of heart and lung function. INO Therapeutics obtained US Food and Drug Administration approval for INOmax (nitric oxide) for inhalation in 1999. INOmax is the only FDA-approved drug product form of nitric oxide for inhalation.

"We are pleased to add Infasurf to the product offering we bring to neonatologists and their patients in the neonatology intensive care units," INO Therapeutics president and CEO Dennis Smith said adding, "With INOmax and Infasurf leading our product line, this is just the beginning of pursuing our company vision. We will continue to seek and secure additional products and services for the neonatal and critical care treatment areas."
