Intas Pharma buys hospital business from Combino Pharm in Spain & Portugal

Intas Pharmaceuticals, growing at 27 per cent CAGR over the last five years,  has acquired hospital business in Spain and Portugal from Combino Pharm, a company based out of Spin through its subsidiary Accord Healthcare based out of UK and Spain.

Binish Chudgar, vice chairman and managing director of Intas said, “By means of this acquisition, Accord obtains certain rights over Combino's Hospital portfolio in a number of European and non-European countries. The acquisition offers lot of synergies to Accord's already existing sizable business in Spain and further strengthens and expand its operations in Spain and Portugal with a broader and more robust portfolio of products. Through this acquisition, combined business of both the entities would become the second largest hospital generic player in Spain.”

Intas has established its presence in more than 70 countries worldwide with robust sales, marketing and distribution infrastructure in several markets. About 55 per cent of its total sales comes from global operations.
