International Biosciences launches non-invasive prenatal paternity test
International Biosciences, a leader in the business market testing DNA paternity, genetic testing and forensic analysis, has recently launched a prenatal paternity test without any risk, based on blood samples. The test was introduced by the company as a business strategy in the long term, aiming to increase its range of services, and to respond to current trends and customer demands in the field of DNA testing during pregnancy.
The test was developed by Natera, a privately genetics.
A spokesman for the company said that their prenatal paternity test non-invasive revolutionized our viewpoint regarding prenatal testing. “One of the main advantages that this test compared to other invasive sampling of fetal DNA methods, such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling is that it is not dangerous and has no risk of misdiagnosis.”
Going further on the safety of this test, International Biosciences says that "the taking of samples of amniotic fluid and other similar methods all involve risk, the worst being spontaneous abortion resulting from the stress of the procedure or a simple human error. The alternative of a 100 per cent reliable test is a huge relief for our clients."
The company also highlights other benefits for this test, including the fact that it can be done by the tenth week of pregnancy.
The test was searched scientifically validated and supported by scientists since this assay utilizes the cell free fetal DNA found in samples of maternal blood. Samples of this test are collected using clean prenatal International Biosciences kit supplied with forms, tubes suitable blood samples, a pre-paid mail and special packaging for sending blood samples.
In conclusion, the director of International Sales and Marketing of the company says, "Although we offer customers the option of invasive paternity test with samples of amniotic fluid or chorionic villus sampling, we always emphasize the risks of such tests and rely on the fact that all risks will be defined before the procedure - with a non-invasive test our clients can eliminate all worries and concerns about side effects or unpleasant risks."
