International seminar on molecular pathology in Delhi on Jan 28 & 29

Super Religare Laboratories (SRL), leading diagnostics network in India, will be holding an international seminar on molecular pathology on January 28 and 29 at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.

 The International Symposium on Molecular Pathology (ISMP) is being held under the aegis of SRL Global Knowledge Forum (SGKF) in association with Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP), USA and Association of Indian Pathologists in North America (AIPNA), USA.

The convention will be addressed by eminent speakers in the field of molecular pathology from around the world and will encompass varied topics like novel advancements in molecular genetics, oncology, infectious diseases and technological breakthroughs, said a release.

Aside from all co-operative workshops and speeches, the symposiums will also have a panel discussion on genetic disorders and molecular oncology from the national and international experts.

Eminent speakers in the area of molecular diagnostic like of Dr. Iris Schrijver Diplomate of the American Board of Medicial Genetics, Dr Adam Bagg Professor of Patholgy & Lab Medicine at University of Pensylvania, Dr Angela M Caliendo Professor of Patholgy & Lab Medicine and Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Dr Meera Hameed member of Memorial sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre, Dr Helen Fernandes professor of pathology and director of Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, to name a few eminent speakers.

Molecular pathology includes laboratory testing for oncology, infectious diseases and genetic disorders. Molecular pathology shares some aspects of practice with both anatomic pathology and clinical pathology, molecular biology, biochemistry, proteomics and genetics, and sometimes considered a “crossover” discipline.
