Intradigm appoints John A. Spears Chairman and CEO

Intradigm Corporation announced the appointment of John A. Spears to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Spears has over 25 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience.

"We are delighted to have attracted John to join Intradigm," said Martin Woodle, Founder and former CEO. "His demonstrated leadership and experience will be key in achieving Intradigm's strategic goals and plans." Dr. Woodle will take the title of Chief Scientific Officer and remain a member of the executive team and Board of Directors of Intradigm.

Most recently, Spears served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Novavax Inc since 1999. Novavax is a Columbia, Maryland based specialty pharmaceutical company. From 1993 to 1999 Spears was President and Chief Executive Officer of Vion Pharmaceuticals, a cancer discovery and development company based in Connecticut. He was also a Senior Vice President at Immunex Corporation and held management and research positions at several large pharmaceutical companies, including Bristol Myers, and Ayerst Laboratories.
