The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and Healthcare (EDQM) are organizing its 4th Technical Seminar on September 9 and 10, 2014 at Hotel Lalit in Mumbai. The theme of the conference is ‘Quality of Pharmaceutical Ingredients: Applying Learnings to Practice'.
The event will be inaugurated by Dr GN Singh, Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI). The opening remarks will be delivered by Dr. Rao Vadlamudi, president, IPA and Dr. Susanne Keitel, director, EDQM.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. B Suresh, chairman, Indian Pharmacopeia Commission (IPC) and president, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) who will speak on Quality of Pharmaceutical Ingredients –Human Resource Development.
Other speakers will include: Dr Raman Singh, principal scientific officer, Indian Pharmacopeia Commission covering Development of IP Monographs for Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Dr Aniruddh Vaidya from Analytical Solutions will speak on pharmaceutical products –extractables and leachables concept. Dr Vinay Nayak, president, Alembic Pharmaceuticals will cover on pharmacopoeia harmonization –Indian perspectives and challenges. Dr Prashant Dixit, general manager analytical research, Watson Pharma. Cristian Sampaolesi from EDQM will speak on Assessment of quality of pharma ingredients and on manufacturing facilities of API related to compliance, audit and inspections. Gurudatta G G, chief executive officer, Estima Pharma Solution will speak on manufacturing facilities –compliance to audit and inspection-issues and trouble shooting. Dr PV Appaji director-general Pharmexcil will speak on the export potential of pharmaceutical ingredients in EU market. Dr Praful Naik will address on pharmaceutical ingredients- innovation packaging.
