IPA organizes formulation and regulatory seminar in Delhi

The Delhi branch of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) in collaboration with the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (DIPSAR) organized a half-day seminar on Formulation and Regulatory on May 28, 2006 at DIPSAR, New Delhi.

More than 150 delegates from various facets of pharmaceutical profession including large and medium scale pharma companies, drug regulatory authorities, academics and community pharmacy attended the seminar.

Arun Kumar, director, International Drug Regulatory Affairs, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. commenced the session with his talk on "Challenges for International Regulatory Approvals". Preeti Sharma, Patent attorney from Kan and Krishme, New Delhi discussed the procedure and critical points to be taken care of while obtaining a valid patent for pharmaceutical compositions and formulations. Rajeev Mathur, director - Pharma Research, Ranbaxy Research Laboratories spoke on "Challenges in Generic Drug Development". Dr Rajesh Khanna, manager - Formulation Development, Dabur Research Foundation talked about various pharmaceutical resources available on the internet for the pharmaceutical scientist and the various tools and techniques for finding the right information on the Internet. The coordinator of the programme was Naresh Sharma, manager - Formulation Development, Dabur Research Foundation.
