ISF College of Pharmacy (ISFCP), Moga, organized a first ever ‘Pharma Job Fest’ for the passed-outs of diploma, degree and masters’ degree holders in pharmacy from all over India at Moga in Punjab on April 7, 2015.

Pharmaceutical companies and hospitals from all over India participated to recruit 600 pharmacy graduates. Almost 1200 graduates participated at this event. The programme was inaugurated by IAS, V.K. Meena, commissioner, Faridkot, Punjab as chief guest.

The inaugural function was presided over by Dr Buta Singh, dean, PTU Jalandhar and Dr. Sandeep Puri, principal, DMC & H, Ludhiana. Vir Vikram, chief pharmacist, DMC & H Ludhiana, Parveen Garg, chairman, ISFCP, Er. Janesh Garg, secretary, ISFCP, Dr N.K. Jain, Dr. P.D. Juyal, Dr. Ranjeet Singh and Dr. Ashish Baldi, principal, ISFCP were also present.

Dr. Gajendra Singh, dean, pharmacy, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak congratulated ISFCP and said that with this programme, ISFCP again has proved its excellence in the field of pharmacy.

Dr. Singh added that ISFCP has been placed at first rank among the colleges in Punjab not only because of its excellent research facilities but also for its 100 per cent placement.

V.K Meena in his address suggested that it is the prime responsibility of educational institutes to prepare the students as per the companies’ requirement. He stressed upon the importance of this program and expressed his intention to continue with this programme in future as well. The 4th issue of ISFCP monthly newsletter was also released at this occasion. Professor N.K. Jain, director, ISFCP proposed a vote of thanks.

Dr. Baldi said that pharmacy graduates from 16 states attended this mega event and processed for the vacancies in the sectors like production, research & development, pharmacovigilance, clinical research, medical writing, hospital pharmacist, quality control etc. Over 300 participants were selected/shortlisted by participating companies during the event.
