Isotechnika Inc. announced that the company has received regulatory approval in China for the Helikit. The Helikit is a non-invasive, non-radioactive breath test kit used in the diagnosis of H.pylori, a bacterium that infects a large proportion of the population. Isotechnika now holds two licenses for the importation of the Helikit into China with additional licenses held in Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico and Taiwan.
In addition to receiving regulatory approval from the State Drug Administration of China, Isotechnika has also secured Taiwan-based Success Vision Biotek to act as a distributor to service Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong. As part of the agreement, Success Vision Biotek will purchase a minimum of 180,000 kits over a three year period. An order for twelve Isomax instruments, a point-of-care instrument used to analyze the Helikit, has also been placed and is expected to be filled by the end of the year. "We are confident that both the approval and the new distributor agreement will add value to Isotechnika's bottom line," stated Joseph Koziak, Isotechnika's executive vice president. "To date, this is the largest single order for Isomax instruments received by Isotechnika. The diagnostic component of Isotechnika continues to expand into broader markets."
