ISPE, a global not-for-profit association of 25,000 pharmaceutical science and manufacturing professionals, will continue to meet the pharmaceutical industry's changing environment by offering the same high quality of its face-to-face education and training in an interactive, online format.
"I'm proud that ISPE continues to provide pharmaceutical professionals worldwide with the knowledge that they need in a way that is efficient, convenient, and economical," said Robert P Best, ISPE president and CEO. "Our schedule of live and recorded online programs is as robust as the on-site events for which ISPE has become known." The same high caliber of educational presentations are offered via live webinars, recorded webinars, webcasts, podcasts, and online learning, led by leaders in the pharmaceutical science and manufacturing industry. Each live webinar provides participants the opportunity for a question and answer session with speaker leaders at the end of the event. Several webinars are scheduled.
On 26 March, 'Lean C&Q: Strategy, Schedule and Success'. A live, 90-minute webinar where speakers Alice Redmond, CQ Technical director for PM Group, and Nuala Calnan, principal consultant for PM Group, will take the foundational principles of lean thinking, coupled with years of streamlined C&Q execution experience, and present a practical approach to lean C&Q. This approach is broadly based on ASTM E 2500-07 principles coupled with key perspectives from ICH Q8R, Q9 and Q10. It focuses on what is important up front at project kick-off for a better chance of getting it right the first time.
On 7 April, 'Maintenance Excellence: Achieving Higher Compliance and Reliability at Reduced Costs'. A one-hour, live webinar led by Michael Greenholtz, assistant vice president of Engineering Operations, Wyeth, this webinar will provide long-term maintenance strategies and a tool-kit of predictive and proactive diagnostics for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of equipment and facilities to optimize operating costs, enhance reliability, meet compliance requirements, and extend the useful life of assets. An opportunity for question and answer will be provided at the end of the webinar.
And on 28 April, 'GAMP Series: GAMP 5 Managing Quality in an Outsourced Environment'. A live, 90-minute webinar presented by Winnie Cappucci, PS Compliance IT Systems, NA, for Bayer Healthcare, and Paul Bergamasco, validation manager, Outsourcing, for GlaxoSmithKline, where they will review key issues identified in the GAMP 5 Special Interest Appendix that must be addressed to maintain and manage quality in an outsourced environment. Topics include: building your business case; specification and selection; due diligence; selection and contract; implementation (planning and governance); monitoring; and change (outsourcing causes many changes in the ways you are used to working, including, hardware, software, and vendor agreements).
