JBPCL appoints Dr. Rajen Shah as Wholetime Director-R&D

JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (JBPCL) has appointed Dr. Rajen Shah as Wholetime Director – Research & Development w.e.f. August 1, 2003.

Dr Rajen Shah will head JBPCL’s expanding team of research scientists, currently 30 and expanding to 110 over the next three years. He will be singularly responsible for managing the Company’s R&D activities including setting-up a new R&D facility in Maharashtra at an expected cost of Rs 40 crore .

Dr. Rajen Shah possess a very rich and extensive experience in the field of R&D with the large MNC’s in USA. Prior to joining JBPCL, Dr. Shah held positions of increasing responsibility in the area of New Drug Development with Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Corp and Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp in USA and Europe. The products developed by him are generating revenues of nearly USD 1 billion for these MNC’s.

Dr. Rajen Shah has a Ph.D in Industrial Pharmacy from University of Maryland, Baltimore (USA). Prior to which, he had done his B. Pharm and a Diploma in Business Management from Mumbai University.
