Karnataka is organizing the Pharmacists Day 2013 held on September 25 at Bidar a northern district in the state. The event will be held at Rangamandir, Bidar between 9 am and 6 pm. The theme of the event is ‘Pharmacists simplifying your medicine use, no matter how complex’.

The daylong event will be inaugurated by Dr. BR Jagashetty, Drugs controller government of Karnataka. There will be rally, release of a souvenir and felicitation of pharmacists . Under the Continued Pharmacy Education Programme, VL Humbar, deputy drugs controller, Karnataka Drugs Control Department will speak on ‘Prevention of Drug Abuse.’ DA Gundu Rao, president, Karnataka State Pharmacy Council will address on the topic ‘ Community Pharmacy at Crossroads’ .

The event is also taken a platform for campus interviews by pharma companies from Bengaluru like Micro Labs and Medreich Limited.

The District Pharmacists Welfare Association, Bidar and Bidar District Chemists and Druggists Association, have teamed up with the Karnataka State Government Pharmacists Association, Bidar branch, Karnataka State Medical & Sales Representatives Association, Bidar, IPA Local Branch Bidar to organize the event.
