The US FDA has approved Lupin's Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Lisinopril Tablets USP.
Lisinopril with MAT June 2005 sales of USD 520 mn as per IMS data is the generic equivalent of Astra Zeneca's Zestril. Lisinopril tablet is Lupin's seventh generic approval till date and the second in fiscal 2005-06. This approval comes within one year of the company filing the ANDA with the US FDA.
