The Madras High Court has posted the Novartis case for November 6. The court heard the arguments today and posted the case for November 6.
The Novartis had petitioned the High Court for a new technical member as it disagreed with the appointment of the former Controller General of the Indian Patent Office S Chandrasekharan to the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB).
The Government of India suggested a revised approach consisting of a two-member review panel (Chairman and a Vice-Chairman) instead of the official three-member panel structure.
The matter came up before the High Court in Chennai and has been postponed for orders to November 6.
