Maharana Pratap College of Pharmacy organises Pharma HR Meet at Baddi

Maharana Pratap College of Pharmacy (MPCP), Kanpur and Pratap University under the aegis of Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions (MPGI) recently organised Pharma HR Meet at Hotel Lemariet, Baddi (HP). The main aim was to create a strong industry-academic interface as well as to bridge the gap between pharma graduates and pharma companies.

The event was organised to discuss and resolve the agenda of what industry is expecting from pharma graduates and what problems, pharma graduates are facing in industry. Based on these outcome, MPCP will be able to make their graduates industry oriented so that they can serve the industry in a true fruitful professional manner.

Dipti Ranjan Panda, DGM, QA, Glenmark, Pradeep Kumar Sahu, senior manager, MicroLab and Gaurav Bhadauria, joint secretary, MPGI inaugurated the event.

Dipti Ranjan Panda, also the chief guest of the Pharma HR Meet said that I appreciate this kind of programme. This is a remarkable effort undertaken by MPGI. With such event not only pharma graduates will be benifitted but also all the pharma companies present here can interact with the students.

MK Sharma, senior manager, HR, Comed and a noteable key speaker said that pharmaceutical companies are changing rapidly, whereas the detection of new diseases compels industry people to research on new medicines resulting which no disease is non-curable now-a-days. “The students which are doing bachelor of pharmacy (B.Pharm) or master of pharmacy (M.Pharm) should start their career with new thinking and new zeal.”

Sukam Das, senior manager from Wockhardt added “Students should not make haste to gain success. Alongwith bookish knowledge they should gain industry experience first and experience comes by spending time on job. Medicines saves life but if you are lack of knowledge it can be dangerous.”

The companies who marked their presence at the event included Abbott Laboratories, Alembic Pharma, Ind-Swift Labs, Comed Chemicals, MicroLabs, Wallace Pharma, Indchemie Pharma, Cipla Ltd, Dr Reddys, Wockhardt, Hetero Drugs, Ranbaxy, Glenmark, Venus Remedies, Ion Healthcare, Helios Pharma, Munish Pharma, Promed Pharma, Nester Pharma, Medipol Pharmaceuticals, etc.
