Max Healthcare plans new hospitals in Delhi, Gurgaon, Dehradun

Max Healthcare, leading seamless, integrated and world-class healthcare services provider, has decided to expand its services in the country with new hospitals in Gurgaon, Delhi (Patparganj and Saket) and Dehradun.

The Max Hospital in Gurgaon is expected to be operational by June 2007, while the hospital in Saket will be completed by the middle of 2009.

According to Ashim Gupta of Max Healthcare, the hospital in Gurgaon will be a 100-bed hospital with 2 operation theatres. Specialties available include ophthalmology (anterior & posterior), orthopaedics, neuro surgery, woman and child (incl. infertility), health checks, nephrology and urology, and plastic and reconstructive surgeries, general and minimally invasive surgeries.

The one at Patparganj in Delhi will house 300 patients in the tertiary care segment. Specialties include oncology, IVF, orthopaedics, neuro sciences, cardiac and critical care. And to cap it all these, the hospital will be equipped with 6 operation theatres and 1 cathlab.

Max Hospital, Saket in Delhi with 85 beds and 2 operation theatres will have obstetrics and gynaecology and paediatrics. The one at Dehradun aims to expand its boundaries beyond NCR. In the first phase, a 100-bed facility will be set up in Dehradun in the secondary care segment, Gupta said.

Last week two tertiary care hospitals of Max Healthcare received prestigious NABH accreditation. Analjit Singh, chairman, Max Group opined, "India has been recognised globally as a healthcare destination for high quality and cost effective medical care. Having a national accreditation system like NABH will further strengthen the credibility of Indian healthcare system."
