Medical Services International Inc has completed all additional testing necessary for regulatory approval in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly the Congo and Zaire).
The company shipped initial samples for testing in January, 2003, as was reported in the Company's March 4th news release. The initial results showed a sensitivity of 100%. As a result of the initial testing, a further 500 samples were requested for testing. The company is waiting for these results which are believed to be imminent.
Robert Talbot stated "To date all of our independent testing in Africa has been very successful. We are very confident that the final results of this major study in the Democratic Republic of the Congo will demonstrate and validate the accuracy of the VScan Rapid Diagnostic Test Kit."
