Hyderabad based Medihauxe Pharma has invested Rs. 10 crore to set up a most advanced medicine storage facility at S. R. Nagar in Hyderabad.

Medihauxe Pharma, which has more than two decades of experience in the distribution and supply of medicines across the country, is now venturing into setting up of advance storage facilities for life saving medicines. “Having learned from our past experiences, storing huge stocks of medicines of different kinds needs different environmental conditions. As part of this we have invested more than Rs. 10 crore and built most advanced medicine storage facility in Hyderabad. Very soon we are also planning to expand our base in other states,” informed P. Girish Bhat, managing director of Medihauxe Pharma Pvt Ltd.

The newly set up state-of-art-the-facility has a spread of 12,000 square feet with two large walk in cold rooms maintained at 2-8 degree Celsius temperature and this temperature is monitored with data loggers. “As most of the medicines are temperature sensitive, it is very important to maintain the temperature of the storage rooms below 20 degrees throughout the year to maintain the safety and efficacy of the medicines,” explained P. Manohar Bhat, Director, Medihauxe Pharma.

The entire facility is fully automated and it is backed by uninterrupted power supply. The regulatory authorities also conduct regular annual checks before validating the storage facility. In case the temperature fluctuates in the cold rooms it is automatically brought to the notice of authorities by way of SMS alert and with V track app.

The facility also has steel equipment to hold the stock in the cold rooms, which is highly appreciated by the industry. It is so clean and hygienic, as it gets cleaned up every 3 to 4 hours every day.
