Medopharm, the fast growing pharmaceutical company based in Chennai, has recently launched a new division, Gallant, for marketing products in therapeutic segments of gynaecology, dermatology and surgery.

The company has launched the division with a range of 17 brands and has plans to introduce five more brands in next six months, according to Rajeev Bhasin, general manger, sales and marketing. Gallant division will be the second division of the company with field force of 150 people spread over 9 states of the country.

Medopharm is a major player in the domestic as well as international markets with its range of speciality products. The company exports a wide range of formulations to over 60 countries and has won many export awards.

Medopharm has two state of the art manufacturing facilities at Chennai and Bangalore. The beta lactum plant in Chennai has recently got the coveted UK-MHRA certification and is on its way to get certified by US FDA.
