Millipore Corporation, the life sciences instrument company, has been selected by the international finance magazine the Global Finance, in its list of 'World's Most Socially Responsible Companies'. The complete list, which includes 67 companies, was published in the magazine's January 2004 issue along with profiles of selected companies.

To compile the list, Global Finance assembled a panel of experts from the world's top corporate responsibility consultancies, including Good Corporation, CSR Global and The Institute of Business Ethics (UK); KLD Research and Analytics (USA), ABN AMRO (Brazil) and Vincular (Chile).

Sources from Millipore India said that to figure in the global list only reiterates the efforts of its parent company Millipore Corporation towards environment, which is followed by all its offices globally including India.

Recently, the Indian subsidiary launched Surepro, a new pre-filtration system, which is designed to remove suspended particles from feed-water and protect the downstream water system with the required flow and pressure. And it would handle SDI (Silt Density Index) values of even up to 100 and bring it down to required levels.
