Mylan Inc. announced that its subsidiary Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. has launched Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets USP, (XL), 150 mg and 300 mg (once-daily), the generic version of GlaxoSmithKline's antidepressant Wellbutrin XL.
Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets had US sales of approximately $752 million for the 12 months ending June 30, 2010, according to IMS Health.
Currently, Mylan has 150 ANDAs pending FDA approval representing $94.2 billion in annual sales, according to IMS Health. Forty-two of these pending ANDAs are potential first-to-file opportunities, representing $21.9 billion in annual brand sales, for the 12 months ending June 30, 2010, according to IMS Health.
