N M Medical Centre, a chain of diagnostic centres in Mumbai, today announced the launch of N M Excellence, a preventive healthcare diagnostic clinic, at its posh Linking Road branch in Bandra.

Diagnostic services offered by the centre include 3-D sonography, mammography, OPG, Colour Doppler, 2D Echo, stress test, bone densitometry, spiral CT scan and MRI. The centre will offer 14 healthcare plans designed to meet the varying needs of corporate and individual clients, men, women and children.

"With the increasingly hectic modern lifestyle, it is very important not to take one's health for granted. We have latest equipment to enable the early detection and subsequent treatment of critical afflictions and diseases. Just a small checkup can prevent diseases like hypertension and diabetes," Dr Nilesh Shah who set up the N M Medical Centre two decades ago.

He has also set up an interactive website www.nmmedical.com that offers online appointments, instructions, medical reports, 15 minute chat sessions with experts every fortnight as well as an option to gift a personalized health package to one's kin through credit card payment. The healthcare packages start at Rs 1000.

It will include a brief video presentation of stress and lifestyle programmes, advice on diet and general health as well as ophthalmic, dental, ENT, cardiac and physical examinations.

The centre will be inaugurated tomorrow by actor of yesteryears Sunil Dutt, MP while the website will be e-launched by Wipro Ltd Chairman Azim Premji.
