Natco Pharma’s net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 increased to Rs 8.38 crore compared to Rs 6.61 crore during the corresponding period, last year.

The net sales / income from operations for the quarter accounted to Rs 40.09 crore as against Rs 42.98 crore during the corresponding period in previous year. Other income stood at Rs 13.91 crore compared to Rs 3.2 crore in the corresponding three months in the previous year.

Staff cost increased to Rs 6.78 crore during the quarter as against Rs 4.24 crore during the corresponding period of previous year.

The Board of Directors has recommended an interim dividend of Rs 1.25 per share.
