Primary care clinic chain NationWide Primary Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd (NationWide), has opened its fourth centre at the Brigade Metropolis Campus in Whitefield, Bengaluru, to widen its reach.

The new 800 sq. ft. centre has two consultation suites and a procedure room and offers the complete range of primary care services, including Family Physician and Paediatric consultations, vaccination services, lab tests, electronic medical records and health checks.

Currently, the healthcare chain operates from 16 centres including four hub clinics in Bengaluru and plans to set up 120 clinics across the city in the next 18 months.

“We are a pioneer in bringing back the family doctor concept in the organised sector in India. We already have a clinic in Whitefield and this will be our second clinic in the neighbourhood which helps to cater to a population in this under served region and helps to widen our reach to provide affordable primary care,” said Dr Shantanu Rahman, founder and medical director of NationWide Primary Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd.

Inaugurating the new clinic in the Brigade Metropolis Campus, Dayanand Allapur, vice president and HR head, Capgemini, said that in the current  hectic work schedule and conflicting demands, see people easily overlook the basic ailments and illnesses. A visit to the hospitals is even more discouraging given the distances one has to travel in bad traffic. NationWide neighbourhood walk-in clinic is easily accessible to our staff as it helps to saves time and travel costs, enabling timely care. On  an average 10-15 of our employees have some kind of health issues. Its time such clinics are set up within every square kilometer of the city so people benefit with easy and timely access to quality health care.”

Highlighting the need for more such centres, Wanitha Ashok, fitness expert and socio-environment activist, said that Family doctors or General Practitioners would be able to identify the root cause of a disease in a patient with a more holistic understanding of the medical and family history of the individual, coupled with regular health check-ups.

Also present at the inauguration occasion was Balakrishna Murthy, president, Brigade Metropolis Apartment Owners Welfare Association.

It won the “Most Innovative Primary Healthcare Services in Bengaluru” instituted by BIG Brand Research at the Brands Academy Karnataka Service Excellence Awards in 2011.
