Natural Remedies scouts for marketing partner for its allergic rhinitis drug Aller 7 in India

The Bangalore-based Natural Remedies is planning to introduce its allergic rhinitis drug, Aller 7, in the domestic market through strategic partners, after its success in the US. It is the first time this herbal extract major is entering the local market with a human healthcare product.

The company is currently looking out for strategic alliances with Indian pharma companies with strong marketing network in the prescription segment to aggressively enter the local market. The company is already marketing the product in the US, Canada and Norway through marketing arrangements with local companies.

The drug, which is a combination of a few herbal ingredients, which was coded as NR A2, has undergone a six-year research in India including safety studies and clinical trials (Phase I to III) at 14 leading trial centres in the country. The company has filed patents for the product in 30 countries including India where it is expected to be marketed.

The company, which has commissioned a new facility set up near the existing facility in the out skirts of Bangalore announced that its production capacity has been expanded to a total of 500 tonnes now with the addition of 300 tonnes in the new plant. The plant was inaugurated by William Skip Seroy, president, Inter Health Nutraceuticals, Inc, USA which is Natural Remedies marketing partner in the US for Aller 7.While talking at the inaugural function, Anurag Agarwal, COO Natural Remedies, said that the approvals from various regulatory authorities like USFDA, TGA – Australia, MCA –Europe are being sought for this $1 million facility.
