Nectar Lifesciences net sales surges by 70%

Nectar Lifesciences, a Rs. 1300 crore pharma major from Punjab, has registered smart gain in net sales of 70.4 per cent during the second quarter ended September 2012 to Rs. 494.74 crore from Rs. 290.27 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its EBDITA moved up by 21.5 per cent to Rs. 75.12 crore from Rs. 61.85 crore. However, its net profit increased only by 5.4 per cent to Rs. 22.55 crore from Rs. 21.39 crore. The earnings per share worked out to Rs. 1.01 as compared to Rs.0.95 in the last period.

For the first half ended September 2012, Nectar's net sales moved up 78 per cent to Rs. 888.29 crore from Rs. 499.07 crore in the similar period of last year. Its EBDITA went up by 31 per cent to Rs. 139.62 crore from Rs. 106.62 crore and net profit increased by 18.6 per cent to Rs.38.58 crore from Rs.32.52 crore in the last period.
