NEUROMetrix introduces ADVANCE in India for quick and pain free nerve conduction tests
NEUROMetrix India, a partner of NEUROMetrix Inc, a science based global health care company, has entered the Indian market with its product ADVANCE to assist doctors with point-of-care nerve testing through its non-invasive neuro-technology.
ADVANCE System offers accurate nerve conduction studies and needle electromyography procedures. While other devices currently available in the market provide data with almost a large percent variation, ADVANCE provides information with 99 per cent accuracy.
“ADVANCE, we believe will revolutionize point of care diagnostics for major neuropathic disorders in India. The device is portable, easy to use and gives fast results. Doctors can now receive reports within minutes of conducting the test”, said Sanjay Paul, CEO, NEUROMetrix, South Asia Pacific.
“ADVANCE can make a huge difference in the treatment of patients with diabetic and neurological disorders. We are happy to bring to doctors in India this new technology. We are currently conducting demonstrations all over the country to familiarize doctors with the superior benefits of ADVANCE,” he added.
ADVANCE is a portable device proven to provide objective data related at the point of care for peripheral neurological symptoms such as sensory loss, weakness and pain. This makes it easy for doctors to accurately diagnose and treat conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, (hand pain) diabetic peripheral neuropathy, radiculopathy, sciatica pain, lower back pain, post chemotherapy patients, trauma patients undergoing nerve damage.
The device is a patented product of NEUROMetrix Inc with its proprietary nerve specific electrodes to capture and provide more accurate results. ADVANCE is a handy portable machine just like a cordless phone, which can be carried any time anywhere, does the test in just 1 minute and generate the report within 10 minutes. It is a quick, accurate and painless procedure, as compared to the existing therapies available.
The procedure involves delivering a mild electric pulse at one point on a nerve and measuring the response at another point. The report provides a comparison with the normal range and exhibits severity and state of the disease. The range of patient report undergoes a comparative test with more than 5 million available results in 1 minute. This allows further accuracy and the right therapy by a doctor. Free consultation is available for practising physicians in India, on a case to case basis through a panel of doctors under NEUROMetrix based at Boston US. The consultation is available free of cost at a 12 hour time difference.
The data is made accessible for editing on the NEUROMetrix Portal and also faxed and/or emailed back to the user, depending on the user’s selected preferences.
