The ninth Annual Conference of the Society of Indian Radiographers (SIR) would be held in Hyderabad from December 14 to 16, 2002. Over 1,000 delegates, including radiologists, radiographers, radiotherapists, imaging technologists and technicians from across the country would participate in the conference, according to Organising Secretary P V Tirupathi Rao.

The focus of the conference would be to create awareness and to update knowledge on radiology and the changing modalities and technological problems faced by radiologists and technocrats.

Organised by the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), SIR AP Chapter, the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) and the Kakarla Subba Rao Research and Educational Society and Trust, the conference would be led by NIMS Director Dr Kakarla Subba Rao.
