NIPER's training programme for SSI staff to begin from Nov 22

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) based at SAS Nagar, is conducting eleventh training programme under Capacity Building Project sponsored by ministry of health & family welfare, Government of India from 22nd - 26th November 2004. It is meant for Analytical Staff from Small Scale Industry.

Almost 50 participants from Small scale industries from all over the country and speakers from Academia, Industry and Central Drug Standard Control Orgnisation have confirmed their participation.

The topics of discussion will include: Analytical Functions in SSI in light of Revised Schedule - M; Good Laboratory Practices for SSI Units; Design of Analytical Set up; Aspects of Quantitative Analysis; Calibration of Glassware and other Analytical Equipment used for Pharmacopoeial Analysis; Qualification of Analytical Instruments; Method Validation Concepts; Maintenance of Analytical Equipments; Pharmacopoeial Testing; Functionality tests for various Dosage Forms; Reference Standards, Test standards and Reagents and issues involved; Documentation in Analytical Laboratory; Impurity and Stability Indicating Methods; Standardization of Herbal Drugs; Seperative Methods of Analysis; Observation of Non-Compliance in Analytical functions of SSIs, the officials informed.
