National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali, Punjab is organising two day International Symposium on ‘Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK): Applications toward Drug Discovery and Development’ on 27 and 28 February 2010.
The international symposium which coinsides with the National Science Day on 28 Feb 2010 is the second symposium in a row, jointly organised by NIPER, Mohali and BMS-BIOCON Research Centre, Bangalore. The main goal of the symposium is to provide better understanding of the role of drug metabolism, drug transporters, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in the drug discovery and development process.
It is primarily a lecture-based symposium projected for students and scientists from industry and academia with a background in chemistry, biology, or the pharmaceutical sciences. The event will be attended by renowned drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics experts from India and abroad. It is estimated that more than 125 participants will attend the symposium.
