The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has fixed/revised the prices of bulk drugs Glipizide, Dextropropoxyphene Hcl and Dextropropoxyphene Napsylate.

According to a NPPA release, the notified price of bulk drug Glipizide has been revised from Rs 29744.00/Kg to Rs 31584/Kg and extropropoxyphene Hcl from Rs 3748.00/Kg to Rs 3997.00/Kg. The price of Dextropropoxyphe Napsylate has been fixed for the first time at Rs 5357/Kg.

These prices were fixed/revised vide notification in the Gazette of India Extraordinary S.O. No.921 (E) to 922 (E) dated 13th August 2004.

The prices in respect of bulk drugs Glipizide and Dextropropoxyphene Hcl have been revised after conducting the details Cost cum Techno-Economic Study of M/s USV Ltd. (for Glipizide), and M/s Wockhardt, M/s Hy-Gro and M/s Jagsonpal (for Dextropropoxyphene Hcl).

The price of Dextropropoxyphene Napsylate is fixed based on the Form I submitted by M/s Wockhardt.
