One week training programme for private testing labs staff at NIPER
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is conducting a one week training programme for the staff from private testing laboratories from June 20 -24, 2005 at NIPER.
The programme is the second training programme under the capacity building project sponsored by the ministry of health and family welfare, Government of India and funded by World Bank. About 35 participants from all over the country and speakers from academia, industry and testing laboratories are participating in the training programme. The issues related to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) would be thoroughly discussed in the programme, a NIPER release said.
The participants will be provided comprehensive training on GLP guidelines for private testing laboratories, accreditation and proficiency testing of laboratories, calibration of glassware and other analytical equipments used for Pharmacopoeial analysis, method development for proprietary and patented medicines, critical issues in Pharmacopoeial analysis, stability indicating and impurity profiling assays, method validation, qualification of equipment, critical issues and clean room operations in microbiological testing, BET testing, water testing, testing of herbal drugs, stability testing, modern chromatographic and hyphenated techniques etc.
