Opto Circuits’ Criticare bags order from Russian hospitals to supply nGenuity vital signs monitors
Opto Circuits’ subsidiary, Criticare Systems Inc. has signed a contract to supply vital signs monitors to major hospitals in Tyumen Oblast, Russia’s third-largest province. The purchase is part of Russia’s nationwide programme to upgrade hospital equipment.
Under the agreement developed by Criticare’s Russian distributor, Elmedica, the company will provide nGenuity patient monitors, along with installation and training, to four hospitals, including three regional hospitals. The hospitals are in the cities of Zavodoukovsk, Yalutorovsk, and the provincial capitol, Tyumen, where many of Russia’s oil and gas companies have headquarters.

The new contract in Tyumen is one of two recent contracts Criticare has acquired through Elmedica to provide vital monitoring equipment to Russian medical centres. The United States and Germany are the leading suppliers of medical equipment for the growing Russian market, and the hospital modernization programme represents significant business opportunities for global medical device manufacturers.”
The nGenuity patient monitors are designed for use with both adult and paediatric patients. Its innovative user interface features simplified menus and dedicated function keys for faster setups. The monitors’ large, bright display has large numerals that can be seen easily from across a room. The monitors can be mounted on walls and on mobile stands for convenience.
Criticare Systems Inc. develops, manufactures and markets patient monitoring systems and accessories used in anaesthesia, critical care, medical transport and outpatient care settings. It distributes through a worldwide direct sales and distributor network. The company is also active in developing highly technical niche markets through research and OEM partners.
