Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals' consolidated net profit declined to Rs 22.96 crore for the year ended March 2005 from Rs 25.02 crore in the previous year. Its total income went up to Rs 735.62 crore from Rs 700.57 crore in the previous year. During the year Orchid Pharmaceuticals Inc, USA and Gene Arrays Inc, USA became subsidiaries of the Company.

The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 40 per cent on the equity share of Rs 10/- each.

Its standalone net profits during the year ended March 2005 remained almost at same level at Rs 31.01 crore as against Rs 31.03 crore in the previous year. However, standalone total income has decreased from Rs 714.64 crore to Rs 690.12 crore.
