Pathfinder Health India launches family medical clinic in Greater Kailash for personalised home care
Pathfinder Health India, a primary healthcare business set up with social intent and founded by an alliance of social entrepreneurs from the United Kingdom and India, recently launched its third clinic in Greater Kailash. The first Health India centre at Janakpuri, Delhi, was launched in October last year, which was followed by another centre launch in Vikaspuri in December 2011.
Pathfinder Health aims to expand its effective health model in India that delivers high-quality, low-cost primary healthcare based on international standards. The company is working with partners and training institutions and plans to set up a strong workforce of GPs, nurses and healthcare assistants for its health clinics.
Dr Niti Pall, chairman and managing director, Pathfinder Health India, said, “We have received an overwhelming response since the launch of our first health unit and are excited to establish more clinics in other parts of Delhi and across India. The success of our centres shows that there is a gap in the market for family medicine and there is a great demand for family doctors. This centre launch furthers our vision and commitment to bring high quality healthcare access at people’s doorstep and to reduce ill health events for all by ensuring early diagnosis and personal care.”
Pathfinder has been set up to give excellence in primary medical care and to generate awareness about the concept of family medicine which enables early detection and reduces medical cost. The company aims to revive the focus on family doctors who can ensure personalised care for each patient with special focus on home visits for elderly and minor emergencies.
Pathfinder Health India clinics also focus on key areas such as immunisation, cervical screening, minor surgery, family planning, integrated health- ayurveda, homoeopathy, acupuncture, palliative care, district nursing, health messaging, early health interventions, diagnostics, community awareness, and engagement.
