PeopleHealth completes pilot project, achieves one lakh customer base

PeopleHealth, a consumer oriented health services company, has successfully completed its pilot project of PeopleHealth Benefit Card. The card will enable easy access to medical centres in Bangalore with a direct cash-benefit. The company has achieved one lakh customers in Bangalore alone.

The Benefit Card is a hassle-free option that helps people access to leading medical facilities including diagnostic centres and pharmacy outlets. The customer is rewarded a cash-benefit, each time the card is used to access health services at these centres. Further, the Card will help an individual track healthcare expenditure.

Since the last fiscal, the company has registered an over 6-fold growth. Its customer base from 15,000 has increased to one lakh in Bangalore alone, according to G. Krishnamurthy, CEO, PeopleHealth. Over the next 18 months, the company is planning to expand its operations to Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.

The company has associated itself with Trust Pharmacy chain. As part of its success in achieving one lakh customer bases, PeopleHealth is offering an additional Rs.250 offer which is provided free of cost to all its customers, when a purchase of Rs.500 is made at Trust Pharmacy outlets or PeopleHealth preferred hospitals and medical centres. The offer is valid for the month of July only.

The four-year-old PeopleHealth was incorporated in 2004 by a group of corporate professionals with an objective to educate and motivate people to improve their overall health performance. The company is gearing up to become a ''Transaction Gateway' and a 'Healthcare System Integrator', which will be a single-source-point for all needs of the Indian Healthcare eco-system, comprising of general public, corporates, hospitals, TPAs, insurers, NGOs, auditors, policy makers and government agencies, among various other direct and indirect stakeholders.
