Pfizer Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 13.46 crore for the quarter ended February 28, 2005 as compared to Rs 10.29 crore in the corresponding period of last year, registering a growth of 30.8 per cent. However, its total income declined from Rs 145.13 crore to Rs 141.67 crore during the period under review.

The Scheme of Amalgamation of the erstwhile Pharmacia Healthcare Ltd with the company was sanctioned by the Honourable High Court of Judicature, Bombay vide its order dated February 4, 2005. This Amalgamation is effective from December 1, 2003.

In view of the above, all figures in the statement for the corresponding three months ended February 29, 2004 include the figures for the erstwhile Pharmacia Healthcare Ltd and hence are comparable.
