The pharmaceutical companies have launched 395 new products in the market soon after the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) withdrew its boycott of new products last week.

AIOCD went on an indefinite boycott of new products of companies from April 1 in protest against the government delay in implementing MRP inclusive of local taxes.

On top of the heap are MCW Pharma (P) Ltd and Rusi Pharma Ltd launching 25 products each. They are closely followed by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd launching as many as 24 products.

Next comes Morepen Labs with 21 products, which is followed by Phorum Pharma with 20 products. Perk Pharma hit the market with 18 products while Glenmark has 15 and Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has 12 new products. Cipla Ltd and Pride Pharmaceuticals have each introduced 10 new products in the market.

Wockhardt has seven new products while Lupin Labs and Shreya Healthcare, each have five new products while Glaxo Smithkline Beecham has only one new product.

Though AIOCD list claimed that Novartis had hit the market with three new products, the company denied the same.
