Following the postponement of delegation supposed to visit during August, to Libya and Sudan due to the unrest in Sudan, Pharmexcil has received fresh dates for the visit. The delegation will be visiting Tripoli, Libya between November 8-10, 2005 and Khartoum, Sudan between November 12-14, 2005.

Libya and Sudan are significant markets for Indian Drugs. The pharmaceutical exports to Sudan during 2004-’05 were Rs 78.58 cr with 22.26 per cent growth. The exports to Libya were stood at Rs 2.99 cr with 696.32 per cent growth.

MDA to the extent of 90 per cent for SSI exporters (75 per cent for others) on economy class return air fare will be reimbursed to the exporters whose export turn over during the previous year do not exceed Rs 10 cr and who have 12 months membership with the council (Chemexcil and Pharmexcil together).
