Obsidian HDS, the developer of PharmaShine, an online service for the management of data on pharmaceutical and device industry payments to healthcare professionals, announced that PharmaShine now includes the Open Payments General and Research data, with indentifying recipient information, released by the Center for Medicare Services (CMS) on September 30.
The inclusion of the Open Payments data adds over 2 million unique payment transactions to PharmaShine's online dataset, already the largest of its kind, and dramatically increases the number of reporting biotechnology and medical device companies in its database.
PharmaShine's academic and industry subscribers can now use PharmaShine's unique array of online data visualisation and analytical tools to manage the Sunshine Act data.
George Dunston, co-founder and managing director of Obsidian HDS, said, "PharmaShine and its suite of online applications makes working with the Open Payments data quick, easy, and hassle free for industry and academic organisations, saving time, human resources, and money."
